My cousin Sam and I have done a lot of traveling together over the years. We’ve been to New York City, New Orleans, Jamaica, Cuba and now, Norway and Portugal. I love traveling with her because she organizes the trips impeccably and always manages to find the best places to stay and the tastiest walking food tours. She loves traveling with me because I’m what she calls “her point and shoot”. She points, I shoot. SQUAMISH TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER
Both of us have Norwegian heritage and we have been talking of taking a trip to the motherland for years. Finally, this spring it happened. We spend nearly three weeks trying to take in as much of the beautiful country as we could, visit family, and say hi to some old friends who live way above the Arctic Circle. Then we capped the trip with a week exploring Lisbon and sampling ALL the Portuguese food we could.
I’ve broken the trip into 5 blog posts; 4 of Norway, 1 of Portugal, and will briefly explain things along the way. Expect sweeping mountain vistas, photos of architecture and things that caught my eye and food photos, a lot of food photos.
Part One is our first two days in Oslo before we hit the open road and drove West.
